CLAIRVOYANT READINGS AND ENERGY HEALING

As a spiritual medium, I do energy healing and clairvoyant readings long-distance for people anywhere in the world and at my office in Southern Oregon. If you are interested in my services, please feel free to contact me by e-mail:

When a reading is scheduled, I will need your full name, age, physical location, and briefly why you want a reading. Donations gratefully accepted. Often, long-distance energy healing occurs spontaneously while I’m doing a reading, or you can ask for long-distance healing without a complete reading.

My method is similar to that of Edgar Cayce, which means I am not a “telephone psychic,” but rather a trance-medium. I sit for readings late at night when I’m alone and there will be no interruptions. I write down the information received from Spirit via automatic writing, and the next day I transcribe it and send it by e-mail or deliver it in person. Afterwards, the recipient is free to call and discuss the message and their experiences.

Spiritual “law” dictates that a medium, psychic, or channeler is not allowed to “meddle” without specific permission from the person for whom information is being sought. The only exception to this would be in the case of a person who is in a coma or experiencing some other emergency situation. Sometimes a parent is allowed to ask for help for a child—as  in the message for David given below.

My work comes from the Holy Spirit, which means I cannot guarantee what will come through, except to say that it is always for the person’s highest good. A teacher I respect often says: “Channeling is an art, not a science.”

Below is a sample reading, taken from my book “Mediumship and the Flow of Grace: Messages from Paul.” Although the messages in Paul’s book cover a wide variety of subjects, this particular excerpt is related to a physical health condition.

Note that “the Reader” referred to in the message is me, Jessica Bryan, in my role as a medium.

DAVID

David is fourteen years old and stricken with leukemia. At the time of this reading, David was in the hospital receiving chemotherapy. David’s uncle requested the reading.

THE MESSAGE

The boy lies stricken, as in a stupor. He rests in the place between earth and heaven and longs for football, the pure joy of movement. He imagines he is running with the wind.

He is an old soul, once cradled in the arms of the Master. The boy will live to be a man. Having grown with incredible compassion, he will seek to heal others. He shows himself to the Reader as an old man in a brown tweedy suit. He is a teacher. Oh, he is very wise, even though he is still young. Reader has a vision of him teaching the art of healing to younger students. His course is planned. He has planted his foot firmly upon the earth and he does not waiver. The will of the boy is very strong. His presence will command much respect.

There is a disturbance in the magnetic field of the etheric body. Reader is instructed to cleanse the field and teach the boy to cleanse it also. The body is a battleground, but the boy rises above it in wisdom and love.

The body needs orange-colored foods: carrots, yams, and orange juice—lots of orange foods to repair the cells. Also something brown is needed, an herbal drink made from the bark of a tree in the jungle. [See comment below about using a pendulum.]

Make him a milkshake using these foods to help restore his strength:

• Raw egg whites [if allowed]
• Cow’s Milk [or a substitute such as rice or almond milk]
• Yogurt
• Bananas
• Vanilla, or other flavoring that appeals to him

Applications of mild heat using damp clay packs may be used to sooth the organs, particularly the spleen. Yellow foods should be eaten for the repair of the spleen, including bananas, squash, and golden delicious apples. All foods should be organic.

FINAL MESSAGE from Paul

His skin is smooth and translucent, and even in sleep his inner beauty shines forth. As he lies on his bed of today’s suffering, when he sleeps he sees fields of sparkling colors. He travels to other worlds and there he dances with angels. Tell him to take his strength from the spiritual life. It will call to him and he will know what to do.

ENERGY HEALING

Long-distance spiritual healing was given a few days after the reading, with David and his uncle together in David’s hospital room. They both participated in the meditation and healing.

At first, the energetic field of David’s room was a dull, stagnant brown. But after a few minutes, gold, rose, and lavender light began to pour in and fill the boy and his uncle. There was a sense that anyone coming into the room would be happier about being there after this energetic clearing of the space.

When energy healing was repeated a few weeks later, David and his uncle could be seen joined in telepathic communication. A vibrant beam of golden light went between their two foreheads, connecting them. From this, I understood that David’s uncle is drawn to David because of their open Third Eye connection. David is one of the few people in his uncle’s life with innate knowledge of this chakra, and he transmits spiritual knowledge to his uncle through this connection.

Toward the end of the session, the room was filled with radiant blue light meant to alleviate some of David’s stress from being in the hospital.

THE UNCLE’S RESPONSE

As we began the first session, it took about ten minutes for me to feel any somatic sensations. The most interesting thing was that when I closed my eyes I saw flowers and sparkles. Later, when the session began to reach fruition, there was the same full blossoming body warmth I have when I get a session of traditional yoga/Hindu energy work. David stayed with it the whole time, so I think he was having a similar experience. The time flew by very quickly, and as tired as I was, there was no dropping into a snooze space.

ABOUT A YEAR LATER…David’s mother wrote, “David is recovering from a bone marrow transplant and we’re living at the Ronald McDonald house near the hospital. He has some avascular necrosis in his hip [damage to bone resulting from obstruction in blood supply] from the steroid chemo he previously received, but we’ll deal with that after his immune system is more robust.

“Your reading gave me faith and hope, and helped tremendously during a difficult time. We used some of the dietary suggestions, but because the chemo made him so sick to his stomach it was hard for him to expand his diet too much. Now, post-transplant, he is eating many tangerines.”

TWO YEARS LATER…David’s mother reported that although David still had some pain in his hip and was immune-compromised, he was back in school, attending Boy Scouts, and playing tennis.

Note:  I have not been to the Philippines since 2008, and conditions there change frequently. I did, however, receive very good reports with regard to Esther Bravo in December 2010 (see below).

Many people ask me to recommend a reputable psychic surgeon. Some ask if Rev. Jun Labo or another specific healer will be able to completely resolve their health issues. No one can guarantee that you will receive a miracle healing from any spiritual healer. As Jun Labo often says: “I do not decide. Healing comes only from God.”

There are many factors involved in why people receive different results from psychic surgery. If someone GUARANTEES that you will be healed, that person is probably a fake healer who is only out to get your money. Of course, genuine psychic surgery and other forms of spiritual and energetic healing can be of tremendous benefit.

Travel to the Philippines can be expensive and time-consuming, but unfortunately I have not been able to locate an authentic psychic surgeon (one who can open the physical body) in the United States. If you are planning to visit the Philippines for the first time, try to go with a reputable tour guide if you can afford the extra cost. It’s safer and there will be less hassle in trying to find your way around. Both of these tour guides offer group and individual services:

If you are an experienced traveler and feel confident to go on your own, if possible, call the healer you intend to see before you buy your airplane ticket to make sure the healer will be there. Alternatively, you can just go and visit the different healers, as long as you are willing to put up with possible disappointment. For example, perhaps the healer has moved, is traveling overseas, has died, or stopped working for some other reason.

ESTHER BRAVO-ROXAS

Barangay Nagkayasan, Bacag, Pangasinan (near Urdaneta on the   MacArthur Highway). 

I have not personally met Esther Bravo-Roxas, but my friend Jack Steele (age 85) traveled solo in late 2010 from California to Urdaneta in Pangasinan to see her for healing. From his description of his experiences, Esther seems to be the closest in style and format to the healers I wrote about in my book on psychic surgery. Jack has been to the Philippines on several occasions—beginning in 1978, when a psychic surgeon saved his life by healing a serious heart condition. I personally feel his recommendation of Esther can be trusted.

I might also mention that when Jack tried to visit Rev. Alex Orbito at the Pyramid of Asia, he discovered the scheduled convention of healers had been cancelled because Alex was in Europe!

ESTHER’S CHAPEL:  Esther has a small chapel and, like most of the Spiritualist Churches in the Philippines, she does healing after religious services. These services are held on Saturdays and Sundays at 11 a.m. and are conducted by her husband. Afterwards, Esther lines everyone up and gives each person a “spiritual injection,” which is a form of energy healing. Next, she performs psychic surgery on each individual. This occurs out in the open, although two assistants hold up sheets to give some privacy. After receiving psychic surgery, each person sits in a chair and receives light massage to the area Esther has worked on. My personal interpretation of this is that the assistant is “closing the aura,” or energy body.

ESTHER IS ALWAYS AVAILABLE:  Jack arrived at Esther’s midday on a weekday and she performed immediate healing. She told him to come back at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. every day for a week.

ESTHER’S CHARGES FOR HEALING:  By donation only. No set fee. Jack gave her 500 pesos for each treatment (approximately $10).

URDANETA ACCOMMODATIONS:  Jack stayed at the Majoha Hotel on the MacArthur Highway, at a cost of approximately $25 per day. He had a tricycle driver take him to Esther’s place about a mile away for 40 pesos round-trip (less than $1). Esther is well-known in the area because people come from all over the world to see her, so you can ask at your hotel or ask any tricycle driver how to find her chapel.

I have personally received many healings from Jun Labo and highly recommend him. Jun has also been teaching for the past few years, and I was fortunate to attend his mediumship class in March 2008. JUN’S CLINIC:  If you want to see Jun, it’s best to call him before traveling to the Philippines because his schedule changes from time to time. He works in his clinic almost every day beginning at 9 or 10 a.m. (call to confirm), and ending when everyone has been helped. People just show up and wait their turn. They might come on their own from anywhere in the world, or they might come with a tour. Jun usually recommends that people with serious illnesses see him 10 times. Jun is approximately 75 years old; so if you are thinking of going to see him, don’t hesitate!

WHAT TO EXPECT: You will see many nearly naked people in the healing room! People usually take off all of their clothing except their underpants. If you are shy, bring a shawl you to cover yourself, and then take it off when it’s your turn to get on the table (in front of the others who will be watching!). Taking photos or videos of your loved ones while they are on the table is allowed, but you shouldn’t take photos of people you don’t know without permission. All this sounds weird, I know, but this is not Western medicine, where you wait in the doctor’s treatment room. Actually it’s quite easy and natural after the first time.

ACCOMMODATIONS IN BAGUIO: The Golden Pines Hotel in Baguio is a good choice if you can afford it, at about $40-60 a night. Most rooms have two double beds and they are air-conditioned. It’s also close to the main market. Golden Pines has a nice restaurant, free Internet, and the staff is exceptionally friendly. Of course, there are many lower cost hotels and pensions in Baguio, which is the vacation capital of the Philippines.

BEST FOOD IN BAGUIO:  The best restaurant for healthy food in Baguio is “Café by the Ruins” on Otek Street, just a couple of blocks from the Golden Pines Hotel.

MISCELLANEOUS TRAVEL TIPS:

Travel Tip #1:  Take earplugs to block out street noise and a handkerchief to cover your nose and block the fumes from the many vehicles clogging the city streets and the dust in the countryside.

Travel Tip #2: If you have severe air-borne allergies, or a medical condition such as asthma or emphysema, please be cautious when traveling in the Philippines, because there can be quite a bit of air pollution in the cities.

Travel Tip #3:  Accommodations in Manila: Pension Natividad, 1690 Del Pilar, Malate, Manila; Telephone (from U.S.): 1-011-63-2-521-0524 (also on the web).  This hotel has simple, clean, air-conditioned rooms for around $36 a night, and also less expensive rooms with fans only. This is a quiet oasis in the midst of Manila with a nice garden and a simple cafe. Many low-budget foreign travelers stay here, including Peace Corp volunteers.

Travel Tip #4: Most of the healers are in Pangasinan and Baguio. The easiest way to get to travel north to these areas from Manila is to take an AIR-CONDITIONED Victory Liner bus from the Pasay Bus Terminal, just south of Ermita. (Take a taxi to the bus station.) Buses run approximately every hour; it is a 7-hour trip with several stops for food. Air travel to Baguio is possible, but because of the high mountain weather there, the flights are sometimes cancelled.

So many in the world are moving too fast. They fly from this to that, never taking the time to enjoy being on earth. Endeavor to move gently through life, and do not let others rush you. Keep to your own rhythm, and they will follow your example. Just ignore those who would try to make you into their own false image.

Yes, it seems a contradiction—more movement but in a relaxed state. You have been driven for too long. You can let go now. God loves you just as you are, even when you feel like you have made a mistake or when you feel ashamed. Everything is acceptable in the light of He who made you. Your true Father in heaven is always available—you need only ask for spiritual guidance. Remember to walk always in the Light of the Holy Spirit. Clean out your closet and buy some new clothes to wear in bright colors. Your time of darkness is drawing to a close.

She is dreaming of a happy time when she and her sister were with their mother: They are riding on a trolley car and the conductor is ringing his bell. They are all laughing. This was a long time ago, and she can cherish these family memories as her mother prepares to cross over. But remember we are all born again in the Spirit with those we love. No one is ever lost to another, for we will all meet again and again in life after life, and also between lives in the City of the Lord.

There is no mistake to be made—any decision will be right for that moment in time. But you can always change again and make a different decision. You are in charge of the fulfillment of your destiny, knowing that God will always be there to support and love you!

You can rest now from running. Take a deep breath and know that the Supreme Being of your heart loves you very much. The negative influences you experience can be shifted with sacred love and loving hands.  Rather than “running” away from your pain, visualize it dissolving in the brilliant light of divine love—truly, evil cannot exist if you allow God’s Light to shine into the darkness.

Interdimensional beings can be defined as life forms without a physical body who are able to “travel” between dimensions. They have consciousness, and to some extent personality, but they vibrate at a higher (or lower) frequency, so most of us are not aware of them. They possess light-energy bodies, and some people believe they live simultaneously in the same space as we do—in what some people call a parallel universe. They can be sensed and sometimes seen.  They are often called “ghosts,” but they can be much more.

Ghosts with harmful intentions are usually considered negative entities. But they can also be interdimensional beings with something interesting to say, as with Orville and Martha, Betty’s mom:

My neighbor’s dad, who died at the age of ninety, is an example of a spirit who could be described as a ghost. I encountered “Orville” early in my exploration of clairvoyance when his daughter invited me to his funeral. I had never met him in person, but I wanted to support her in her time of mourning.

There were about thirty people gathered at the small country cemetery for the service. I took a seat in the back row. After closing my eyes and going into a light trance, I observed Orville sitting on top of his coffin with one leg crossed over the other. He was wearing a red plaid shirt and appeared to be paying close attention to his family and friends gathered around him.

When his son began to give a personal eulogy, Orville shook his “head” slowly, and said, “I’m so sorry for how I treated the children. I was too hard on them, but that was the only way I knew how to be.”

It surprised me that he was aware of my presence, but I smiled and nodded, acknowledging his spirit-to-spirit communication.

After the speeches were over and the family began to drift away toward their cars, Orville continued to sit on top of the coffin. He waved goodbye to them, as one by one they drove away.

The next day, when I told my neighbor about this experience, she commented that her father’s closet was full of plaid shirts.

Occasionally, we sponsor a healing circle at our home, and Betty was the first person to attend. She arrived almost in tears because it was the one-year anniversary of her mother’s death.

As I began to pray and go into meditation, I observed Betty’s mom standing just behind Betty, who was sitting on the sofa. Betty’s mom gave me a look that said, “Okay, what’s going on here?” and then she “sat down” in the chair across from me.

“Be kind to my daughter because she is very sensitive,” she communicated quite firmly, and then she began to receive energy healing through a cord of golden light that plugged into her seventh chakra at the top of her head.

A visit from a deceased loved one is always a great gift for those left behind, and there are several criteria used in the Spiritualist Church to determine whether the visitation is valid. These criteria include a physical description, the age at passing, the manner of death, the deceased’s name, and a shared experience. 

I asked Betty’s mom to tell me her name and how she died. She responded with something that sounded like “Margie,” and then she looked down at her chest with an expression of great dismay, as if to say, “Look at what they did to my body.” From this, I assumed she had a mastectomy and later died of cancer.

When the meditation was almost over, another Spirit came to “collect” Betty’s mom—as though she was a child who had wandered away. I watched in astonishment as they left the house by walking right through our front door!

After the meditation ended, I described the spirit visitor to Betty and told her the name and manner of passing. The information was about eighty percent accurate—her mother’s name was Martha and she had died of lung cancer. Betty said that at the beginning of the meditation she had prayed for healing of her mother’s spirit, if she needed it.

At this point, Tom came out of meditation and said the strangest thing:

“I got a message from a woman. She told me she was very upset about leaving her shoes!”

We all laughed, but then Betty told us her mom was obsessive when it came to buying shoes, comparing her to Imelda Marcos. At the time of her death, Betty’s mom had an entire room filled with shoes.

Visiting John of God and his healing center in Brazil was just as amazing as when I went to see Jun Labo, the Filipino psychic surgeon, but in a totally different way. There is a power at The Casa, no mistaking it. But I think people have the wrong idea about what they will receive there, because I did at first, even after reading about it and hearing about it.

The “entities” run the show. Everyone is a volunteer, and they move hundreds of people through each day. You only get a few seconds in front of the entity—whichever one is in [John of God’s] body at the moment—but the entities seem to know what they are going to say to you before you get there. They speak longer to some, especially if you ask question, but for the most part it is quick. [The term “entity” or “entities” refers to the spirit beings channeled by John of God. There are thirty, or more, of them. John of God also calls them  “spirit doctors.“

The majority of what goes on is the invisible surgeries, crystal beds, and meditating in the current rooms. There are two current rooms: one for anyone who has been in front of the entity at least once, and another current room in which you sit across from John of God. The energy in this area is much stronger, so you have to be told by the entities to sit there, or ask and receive permission.

To the right of John of God is another room that has mediums and other gifted energy workers who “hold the space“ for the entities to come through John of God more easily. Everyone helps to hold the spiritual vibration and elevate the current. It’s rather like a symphony. This is my basic understanding from talking with a few of the mediums. They also volunteer to be there; some live at The Casa; and some come for varying periods of time.

They are all interesting and most of them hear and see spirits, and guides. They channel some powerful spirits like Archangel Michael and Mother Mary. My husband, Bob, and I had an interesting experience with a medium when we received toning lessons from a beautiful 24-year-old woman who hears, sees, and feels spirit. She told us at the end of the session that Michael, Mary, and Dr. Augusta had been guiding her in working with us. (Dr. Augusta is a spirit doctor who works through John of God.) 

We saw and heard of a few people who had experiences that would qualify as miracles while we were there, but for the most part, I felt that The Casa is a place where a person can more easily connect with the higher parts of themselves in order to help the entities heal them. The entities say they can do 75 percent of your healing but they need 25 percent from you. There is no mistaking that the entities are there. You can feel them. Bob and I both had an invisible surgery the first week, and I could sense them still working on me that night.

The next week, while I was sitting in current, I suddenly felt surrounded, and then something pushed me lightly back against my seat. Next, I felt something like a person’s finger opening up the front of my chest just to the right of the middle. It was very obvious, no mistaking it, so I realized that the entities were doing something and I gave myself over to it.

My husband Bob had more experiences than I did. He loved the crystal beds, had visions, amazing emotional release, and he constantly felt the energies around him. It’s very peaceful at The Casa, and the people are so very calm and loving. It’s a hard environment to leave!

I sat in current a total of three times, and each time I had extreme pain in my upper back under my neck, and both arms, but the pain went away after I relaxed and met let go of my resistance. I still have a mass in my breast; it’s not bigger, but it’s not smaller. I have decided to take some medication recommended by my doctor, because they advise in Brazil that the entities can work with Western Medicine. So I am still in a holding pattern, alternating between trying to create a new reality, and simply trusting and accepting what the universe is teaching me. There are some difficult days, but mostly I just trust what is in front of me.

Just before I left Brazil, I went before the entities. They told me my healing was complete for this time, but that I would be back. When I asked them when I should return, they said I should “follow my heart.” God does have a sense of humor! On the way home I looked at my Brazilian Visa and realized that although Bob’s visa was for three months, mine was for two years! I didn’t even remember purchasing the visas, but we had a laugh over that. Now I have decided to go again to Brazil for three weeks in October because Bob will be away on business.

By the way, the entities do some actual psychic surgeries, like Jun Labo in the Philippines, but not at the level that Jun is capable of. I did see people in front of me on stage being cut open and John of God sewed them up, or he would take a knife to their eyeballs, (hard to watch that!). Like in the Philippines, the people seemed to feel no pain.

We also had our first experience with “orbs,“ magical balls of light just floating around in the sky. I had never even heard of them before, but they are all over the place at The Casa. Also, I was amazed when I learned that two people can take a picture of the same night sky and one camera will show nothing, while another will show tons of orbs. And when your flash goes off in the air in front of the camera there will be millions of sparkling little lights, almost like sparkling dust. Bob also saw a blue light hovering by a bush one night for about 5 seconds. So there is lots of magic to be experienced in Brazil.

There are many pictures of people with orbs around them on the walls at The Casa, including one with John of God. You can also see huge cylindrical beams of light beside them. Some of these light beams bend like snakes, which really amazed my husband, because he says light cannot do that according to the scientific principles, but there it is in color on the wall.

A FEW MONTHS LATER SHE WROTE AGAIN:

My second trip to Brazil was great. It is so different at The Casa that you have to go a few times to actually get what is going on down there.  I went mostly for current, as this was helping me get the emotional stuff buried in my cells that I can’t access in my waking consciousness, but I did have another invisible surgery They can apparently do up to nine surgeries in one go.  The closest understanding I can come up with is that they are working on my etheric body, and this translates into the physical in some sort of way.

I did not feel anything while they were doing the actual surgery; it takes about 30 minutes. Then you take a cab home and go to bed for 24 hours, no reading or television is allowed; nothing but sleep. And you feel like something big has happened, you really do, you are exhausted, so this time I was in a state of grace/euphoria for about 4 hours after.  I felt so nurtured and loved, and I could feel them still working on me as well.  I had stinging pains in my abdomen and could feel them in my breast.  It was cool.  I had feelings of being bruised a few days later, too, as further evidence of “surgery.”

Automatic Writing : How the Messages are Received

The information revealed by automatic writing does not come from the conscious mind of the writer. It’s a form of channeling, a process wherebyout-of-body spirits dictate messages, letters, and even entire books to people called mediums. Automatic writing, also called psychography, is often associated with the Spiritualist and Spiritist Churches.

Allan Kardec, who died in 1869, wrote five books that laid the foundation for the Spiritist movement, and much can be learned from these classic writings on the subject of communication with the spirit world.

In 1922, Jane Revere Burke wrote The One Way, a beautiful book that was channeled through her by William James. He communicated to Jane from the spirit world, and she recorded his thoughts using automatic writing. Fortunately for present-day readers, The One Way was republished in 2010. Ms. Burke describes her process in the Author’s Foreword:

“The experience of automatic writing is absolutely extraordinary. No one who has been through it can question the certainty of a control [the Spirit who is giving the “dictation”] outside of themselves. One element in automatic writing that is tremendously convincing to the person who receives it is the way the pencil crosses out both verbal mistakes and whole sentences.”

William James, the Spirit who spoke through Jane Burke, had some interesting things to say about the process of automatic writing:

“In order to write, they [the medium] must sink their own personality to the disappearing point, chain their imagination, and at the same time, be keenly on the alert, reading and following what is written.”

James also spoke about the potential difficulties inherent in mediumship and how to avoid them:

“People who are successful in doing automatic writing for the forces of progress learn very quickly to recognize when a deterrent spirit touches the pencil, and you must learn to recognize when a deterrent spirit whispers a thought or suggestion to your mind or spirit, and instantly send them to their own place.

“You can protect yourself by a clear determined order. Get thee behind me. Say, I absolutely refuse to be interfered with by mischievous or deterrent spirits whether in the body or out of it. But remember your whole will must be behind the above statement. If you have not attained sufficient force of will, pray. Prayer is one of the levers that can lift the universe, because by true prayer you unite yourself to the Almighty Creator of the universe.”

There are many books with detailed instructions about how to do automatic writing. In my case, Rev. Jun Labo introduced me to this powerful spiritual tool, as described in Part One of this book. Actually, it would be more accurate to say, The Holy Spirit came through Jun Labo and gifted me with the ability.

Here’s a description of my experience with automatic writing:  The silent room welcomes me as I close my eyes and begin to say the Lord’s Prayer. Falling deeply into the trance-medium state—which allows my consciousness to become free of my physical body—I visualize the person who has asked for assistance and repeat their name and location out loud. This is sometimes worded as a prayer for a specific difficulty.

In a moment, I can see and feel him (or her). I can see the inside of his body. Sometimes my consciousness is actually inside of his physical body and I am looking out through his eyes. This occurs through astral travel, the means by which my consciousness accesses the Divine Matrix—the web of energy that connects everything in the universe—and travels to the other person’s location. My vehicle of travel is the Lord’s Prayer. It happens in an instant with the support and protection of Paul and the Holy Spirit.

If the person has a specific physical disturbance, I sometimes feel it in my own body, which is lightly resting on the chair. The readings in Chapter Eight for Shobha and Andrew clearly illustrate this phenomenon. From the position of being energetically inside of the person needing assistance, Spirit can more easily transmit healing energy. This is temporary, of course, and once the reading is over I am completely back in my own body.

My hand rests lightly on the paper, and once I have made contact I begin to write quickly in loopy squiggles. The writing might be loose and free, or it might be small and tight, reflecting the state of mind of the person being written about.

After several paragraphs—during which my mind is blank and I am doing nothing but writing—images begin to form. This might be a picture of a specific food the person needs to eat (or not eat) to recover her health, or it might be a dramatic scene like something from a movie, depicting a past life. The message for Mira in Chapter Four illustrates how trauma experienced in a past lifetime can influence a person in the present, and how the unwinding and healing of old trauma can free us from current blockages.

Sometimes thoughts simply arise related to the person’s difficulties or questions, but more often I am merely taking dictation from Paul—who calls me “the Reader.” It’s as though he speaks directly to the person receiving the reading through me. While this is happening, I am no longer “Jessica,” and therefore the pronoun “I” does not exist. My personality simply steps aside and “goes to sleep.” Spontaneous energy healing sometimes occurs during this process, and occasionally a different Spirit will speak, including the person’s own spirit guides.

Once the information has been received and the writing slows and then stops, I come partly out of trance and open only my right eye—just enough to see the page in front of me. Then I begin to translate the automatic writing into legible English.

Here is an example of a reading recorded using automatic writing:

DANIEL

Daniel is in his late sixties and having back pain. He stated that he doesn’t feel worthy of God’s help. He also asked about his “guardian spirits.”

THE MESSAGE

Daniel can talk to his health care provider about the possibility he has an enlarged prostate [benign prostatic hypertrophy, or BPH]. He is advised to avoid consuming carbonated soda because it can leach minerals from the bones, and to limit alcohol, caffeine, and sugar.

Yes, we can see the personality is somewhat contracted. It’s as if he has become “crusty” over time. This aspect is directly related to the father’s side of the family. It’s a rather rigid mindset, and there is a tendency for him to “dig in his heels,” even as his heart longs to embrace the feminine aspect. This is why he has chosen to live on an island in the South Pacific—because it balances his strongly masculine nature.

Now that he’s getting older, he’s beginning to look back and wonder about everything that has happened in his life. Does he feel like he made some “mistakes?” Never mind all that! God knows he did not intentionally hurt anyone.

Still, if he continues to be troubled by the past he can ask forgiveness and make amends. This will be well received. Perhaps he sometimes feels that he “slept with the wrong woman.” These things can be resolved in this lifetime—or the next—it doesn’t really matter. It’s of no consequence in the flow of eternity.

[Vision]  He is coaching young people, perhaps in sports. He can align his energy with their youthful enthusiasm and begin to move his body more, and also his heart and spirit. Participating in a tai chi class might be helpful. The Buddha sat in silent meditation under the Bodhi tree, but his every movement was also meditation.

Can he see the chiropractor? Did he receive a blow or severe strain to his upper back between the shoulder blades? This area can be adjusted, greatly easing his pain.

 Hot water therapy and hot clay packs are also recommended.

Peanut oil massaged into his spine and any other painful joints would be quite soothing, because peanut oil is “food for the joints.” Castor oil packs applied to his low back would be helpful for the bony structures. [Edgar Cayce often suggested these types of remedies.]

At this point in the reading, energy healing occurred spontaneously. This was seen as two energetic “hands” glowing with iridescent orange light being placed on Daniel’s back between the shoulder blades directly behind his heart.

[Vision]  One of Daniel’s guides shows himself as a sailor wearing a shirt with stripes going sideways and calf-length black pants. He is smoking a pipe and appears to be quite jolly. He is reminiscent of the cartoon character “Popeye.”

Another spirit guide appears, a monk, probably Buddhist, because he (or she) is wearing orange robes. This guide is holding an object raised aloft. It looks like a bowl or a representation of the earth. The monk is quite serious and seems to possess great spiritual power. This spirit guide could be described as male or female—or both—because the monk’s gender is so equally balanced that applying either gender seems irrelevant and inappropriate.

FINAL MESSAGE from Spirit to Daniel 

All love begins with self love and love of the Lord—who is also our Self. It has always been this way, the gentle flow of love and light between the creator and us.

Between the setting of your final sun and the rising of consciousness into your next lifetime, there is much healing. The same is also true in the letting go of your limiting views of who you are in each moment—and who you are becoming in the next. Seek ye this “in-between” state, which is the state between the conscious and unconscious.

It can be found behind your eyes in the center of your head. Put your awareness in this place and your self-imposed limitations will just evaporate—they will gently pass away. So what profit is there in holding back and embracing your fear? If you put just one foot into the River of Surrender, the Kingdom will be yours.

What is “psychic surgery?” Perhaps you have heard about it before, but most of what was said was negative. In fact, there are many false healers, whose primary motivation is to make money from the suffering of others, but there are also incredibly gifted psychic surgeons. In order for a human being to be endowed with the ability to perform psychic surgery, she must be willing to enter into relationship with spirit. She must have what the Filipinos call the Power, meaning the ability to allow intense higher vibrations to flow through her for the purpose of helping others. Thus, psychic surgery can be understood to involve mediumship, which is the receiving of information and energy from spirit in a process called channeling. The healer uses this spiritual energy to affect positive change in the material world, i.e., remove disease from another person’s physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual bodies.

Psychic surgery is also referred to as faith-healing or bare-handed surgery. The healer’s hands function like magnets inside of the body, drawing diseased tissue toward them, which is then removed and thrown away. Simply put, the body is opened in much the same way as medical doctors do when using a scalpel, except that in psychic surgery there is no cutting, no anesthesia is used, and there is no pain, scars, or infection. The incisions can even be made by the healer merely pointing a finger at the skin of the patient from a distance of one foot away. This process is entirely safe, however, because psychic surgeons are directed by the Holy Spirit and highly evolved, powerful spirit guides.

To better understand psychic surgery, imagine the body is like a glass of water. When you slip your finger into the water, the molecules of the water separate to make room for your finger, and when you remove your finger, the water fills in the space left behind.

Clearly, psychic surgery involves some law of physics we do not yet understand. In her book Going Within: A Guide for Inner Transformation, Shirley MacLaine describes her meeting with a well-respected Filipino healer: “Something we don’t understand is occurring, and I believe it is evidence of alternative realities and higher-dimensional capability.” (New York: Bantam Dell, 1989.)

We are physical beings living in a material world we call the 3rd dimension and experience through our five senses. But we are simultaneously so much more. Our 3rd dimensional world merges into the etheric plane, and from there into the 4th dimension, which is also called the astral plane. This alternate universe is inhabited by all sorts of spirits, entities, gurus, elementals, fairies, and ghosts—much like the spirits in the television show “Ghost Whisperer,” those unfortunate souls who have died but haven’t yet crossed over into the light because they have unfinished business on Earth. The astral plane can be visited consciously through astral projection, meditation, near death experience, lucid dreaming, and other means.

The 4th dimension has many levels, serving as a graduated bridge, or ladder, between the 3rd and 5th dimensions. (Different theories postulate anywhere from seven to 49 astral levels.) This bridge allows for the possibility of anyone making contact with the spiritual realms. However, in order to travel to the higher planes, we must first be filled with love for ourselves and others, and learn the necessary skills to raise our conscious awareness.

The 4th dimension merges into the 5th, which some people call heaven. This where Jesus and the saints, angels, and archangels reside. Some theorize that there are even higher spiritual dimensions, but in most religions this is the highest realm a soul can reach. Multi-dimensional reality is a complex subject and there are conflicting theories. Ultimately we will not really know the complete nature and structure of the universe until we die and “go to the light.”

My personal experience is that I am “here” in physical reality, but I am also simultaneously “there” in the spiritual realm. I perceive this “other place” with my inner vision during meditation, and when I am working with clients doing energetic healing and clairvoyant readings. I begin by reciting the Lord’s Prayer, which opens my 7th chakra (the energy center just above the top of the head). This allows me to receive information from my spirit guides, including messages for others. In this way, I experience myself as a multi-dimensional being.

You can begin your own journey of making contact with alternative dimensions by using the simple exercises given below. Just focus your awareness on the Divine—and, remember, your intention directs your destination.

EXERCISE: Connecting to Divine Energy

Sit in a relaxed pose with your feet on the floor and your hands in your lap, palms up. Imagine there is a cord of any color or thickness going from the base of your spine to the center of the earth. Once you create your cord, it will always be available to ground you. All you have to do is think about it. Your cord can go through solid objects, even if you are on the top floor of a tall building or flying in an airplane.

Next, visualize a large ball of sparkling, golden light about a foot above you. Bring this light gently down into the top of your head. See it moving throughout your body: your throat, heart, solar plexus, and abdomen. Send it down your arms and legs, and back up. Finally, flush the light down through your grounding cord, taking with it any “dis-ease” or negativity.

EXERCISE: Connecting to Earth Energy

Begin as above, but instead create a cord attached to the bottom of each foot. Visualize earth energy moving gently up towards you through these cords. Feel it enter your feet and begin to rise up into your body until it has filled you completely. This energy will feel thick and relaxing. Try this meditation when you feel overstimulated, stressed, or have trouble sleeping.

“Mr. Fluffy” was a Himalayan cat with long white hair and gorgeous blue eyes who lived with us for seven years. I called him my “angel boy” because he was so ethereal, so much more than a mere cat. Sometimes I imagined he was a higher soul who had taken a feline body because of some past-life karma we had together.
Unfortunately, he was quite naïve. As a kitten, he fell off the roof chasing a blue jay, and he contracted liver flukes from drinking the outdoor bird water. He didn’t seem to understand that there were people and other animals in the world that might do him harm, and this made him prone to getting in trouble. In the spring of 2007, he was attacked by a feral cat and contracted the feline version of AIDS (called FIV). He died three months later, despite all attempts to save him.
Even though I am clairvoyant and do a form of energy healing from the Philippines called “magnetic healing,” I was unable to change the course of Mr. Fluffy’s final illness. But the situation did bring us into deeper telepathic communication. Even before he passed, Mr. Fluffy told me that after his body died he would stay with me in spirit. He would be one of my Spirit Guides when I do clairvoyant readings and healing with other animals. He said being in spirit would be much easier, because then he would be pure light and wouldn’t have to deal with the urges of his feline body. As a cat, he had always had a hard time controlling himself.
After he was gone, my telepathic communication with him became even stronger, although it wasn’t always a positive experience. Two weeks after he died—while I was holding Buster, one of our other cats—I felt an energetic wave of loneliness and remorse moving towards me. It was Fluffy’s Spirit. Perhaps he was observing me with Buster, and it made him realize how much he missed me. I had the sense that he was stuck in some sort of “spiritual limbo,” but that someone was telling him it was time to “go to the light.”
At first, I didn’t know what to say or do, but then I started telling Buster, “You can be my number one and a half, but never Number One, because Fluffy will always be my Number One.” I wanted to communicate to the Spirit of Mr. Fluffy that no one could ever take his place.
Sensing it was time for our final goodbye, I lay down on my healing table with Mr. Fluffy’s photo held to my chest. I felt him in spirit as he lay down, too, for one final “heart hug.” At this point, it definitely felt like another a spirit—one that was vibrating at a very high level—was directing everything.
The Spirit of Mr. Fluffy sat upright on my chest and looked at me for a moment. Then I felt the cord between us at the heart chakra level being pulled out. It was extremely painful, both emotionally and physically. I could hardly believe how much it hurt. I began to weep from the pain, but also relief because I knew that now we could both move on.
As his Spirit began to slowly move away from me, I sensed he was holding the hand of an enormous angel, who was guiding him towards the light. He turned once and looked back at me, and then they were gone.
As I continued to cry, I felt my Spirit Guide come towards me as a ray of rose-colored light. He pressed his energetic hand into my heart, as if to close up the wound left by the cord removal. I understood this because I do the same thing for my human clients after removing an energetic cord. My chest became quite warm from my Spirit Guide’s energy, and then I felt him patting my head until I stopped crying.
Seven months later, during meditation, I asked God to show me where the Spirit of Mr. Fluffy had gone. Almost instantly, I was in a place that can only be described as “animal heaven.” It was filled with iridescent crystal light and appeared in the form of a beautiful, colorful garden. There were no human souls there, but rather thousands of different kinds of animals, who were engaged in active play. They were running and laughing, and when they jumped they would rise up fifteen feet into the air, as if free from the constraints of gravity. It was the most incredible thing I thing I’ve ever seen (in any dimension!).
There was just SO MUCH JOY!
Then I noticed the Spirit of Mr. Fluffy, and he wasn’t doing so well. He appeared sunken into himself and filled with sadness. His head was down on his paws and his eyes were closed. I sensed that he had no idea where he was, and that he was feeling sorry for himself. Perhaps he felt like he had failed us (and himself) by getting into a fight that made him sick and caused his physical death.
Mr. Fluffy’s feeling tone of regret was overwhelming. I began to pray to God for help, and I talked to the Spirit of Mr. Fluffy, telling him things like: “I forgive you. It wasn’t your fault. I’m sorry for anything I did that might have hurt you. Maybe I expected too much of you.”
After a few minutes, he opened his eyes and lifted his head. The look on his face seemed to say: “Where am I?”
At this point, my attention was turned away. When I looked back at him, I saw that he was sitting up and looking around in amazement. Again, my attention I was drawn away. A moment later, I saw that now he was lying down in a full stretch and yawning, as if he was coming out of his stupor.
Finally, I observed the Spirit of Mr. Fluffy playing with another cat spirit. He was chasing his new feline friend and having the “time of his life.” At one point, he turned his head towards me, smiled, and winked. It was hard to let him go, but mostly it was a relief to see him moving into a more positive spiritual space.
Everyone knows cats have nine lives, but I was blessed to observe the “Tenth Life of Mr. Fluffy”—the life he is now living in the spiritual realm. I have had other “messages from spirit” telling me that he will come back in a new incarnation, and I remain open to this possibility. But since our Fifth Dimensional healing, I have not missed him quite so much.
